Safety

“Safety is ALWAYS our number one priority at camp.”

Safety Measures

  • All our staff are First Aid Trained and carry a fully stocked first aid kit in case of any small bumps or scrapes during activities.

  • Our staff undergo training before camp and are well equipped to deal with an emergency. In Zermatt there is always a doctor on call in case of emergencies and our staff carry this information with them at all times.

Safety Whilst On The Camp

Many of our activities are active, outdoors and may involve doing activities that children are trying for the first time. As such we carry out extensive risk assessments on each and every activity before we give them the green light to be added to our program. These risk assessments decide whether or not they are reasonably safe enough for us to participate in, what the minimum age should be for the given activity, and if the ratio of staff to student needs to be reduced in order to manage the risk effectively.

Staff Ratio

We maintain strict staff to student ratios at all time to ensure maximum levels of safety during each activity. This ratio will vary between 1:4 and 1:8 depending on the type of activity.

Medication/Allergies

We always ask all parents prior to arrival to inform us of any known allergies or medication that needs to be taken. We take this very seriously and will ensure all our staff are briefed in advance.
