COVID-19 MEASURES

Safety is ALWAYS our number one priority at camp, no matter what the day, time or activity. To help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and ensure a safe environment to assure you as parents, we have introduced several measures and procedures that have been in place since March 2020. Thanks to these measures we have been able to safely open and operate our camps since June 2020.

We are continuously monitoring the situation and regularly update our policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with the advice from the Federal Council of Health. Below you will find an outline of the measures that have been taken.

Staff

  • Negative PCR test is required from all the staff prior to camp

  • None of our staff have tested positive for Covid-19

  • Self test is requested from the staff once per week

  • All our staff will wear masks when indoors or in close contact (within 1.5m)

  • Daily temperature check

Kids

  • Students aged 12 and over need to wear a mask when indoors or in close contact (within 1.5m)

  • Daily temperature checks

  • Health declaration from parents pre-camp that attests the enrolled child is in good health

General

  • We will ensure that all employees and children adhere to distance rules and hygiene measures, such as washing hands regularly, keeping a distance of 1.5m from one another and at least 2m from external people such as tennis trainers or mountain bike guides.

  • Every employee will always have disinfectant with them and ensure that their hands are washed and disinfected before and after every activity

  • The number of children per supervisor is 6 so we can carry out activities in smaller groups that require closer contact.

  • We will not do any contact sports

  • No food will be shared. All children are asked to bring their own snacks. We will eat our lunch in specially selected restaurants in the village and on the mountain.

We continue to seek advice from the Federal Council of Health. In case of changes, measures will be amended and updated accordingly.

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

Travelling is harder than it usually is at the moment, we appreciate that!

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic there are special rules for people entering Switzerland. Depending on the type of travel, you might have to fill out an entry form, show proof of a negative test and/or go into quarantine.

To check if you are allowed to enter Switzerland follow this link to the website of the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) as the SEM is responsible for Switzerland’s entry requirements. Here you will be able to find specific information for arrivals from each country.

Once you have determined if you are allowed to enter Switzerland, the Federal Office of Public Health is responsible health-related measures at the border. By following this link for the Federal Office of Public Health, you will be able to discern if the country you are travelling from is on the high-risk list, and what that means for you upon arrival.

Travellers must take note of the health-related measures at the border (accurate at 16.06.2021)

We are not experts in the field, but we do know where to find the most up to date information and we will do our best to help you navigate the minefield between the rules in place from both the Federal Office of Public Health, and also the State Secretariat for Migration.
